High cloud Wednesday morning gave way to all day sun after 10am with continued cool temperatures. Sun was strong enough to catch a burn, but not powerful enough to impact snow surface conditions anywhere above 1000m with boot top cold powder on all aspects travelled. The day's gentle north wind increased around 4pm and began reloading skin tracks from earlier in the morning. No signs of recent storm snow instabilities on south, east and north faces up to 2100m, but there was evidence of old small releases in steep rocky terrain below ridge top. Beauty window on this endlessly stormy year and a great start to spring in the White Pass.
