Mt Myra

Island Alpine Guides trip up Mt Myra. No re-freeze overnight, top 30cm wet and unconsolidated (isothermic) below 1250m. The west ridge of Myra (to Sandbag Lk) is wind hammered, but provided reliable skiing, with a few cms of new snow over this hard surface. We didn't travel past the lake, but the upper reaches of the mountain look to have very good coverage, with large cornices hanging over the northerly aspects. Widespread pinwheeling and loose wet point releases out of steep terrain on all aspects below 1250m.
