Skinned up to Chester Lake today and did a short run at the back of the lake. Snowpack on the slope was variable from 50-150cm with ~10-15cm of new snow on top of the existing base. All in all, pretty good supportive skiing. We witnessed a few loose dry avalanches to size 1.5 from Mount Chester which were a little too close for comfort so we decided to head down. It snowed on us from 1000-1500 but didn't accumulate more than a cm or so.
2 loose dry slides to size 1.5 (maybe 2?) from the steep NNW facing chutes above Chester Lake. They appeared to be accumulation on the lee side of the ridge lines letting go. Wind transport in the alpine looked significant.
Light wind @ 2250m but wind transport in the alpine looked significant.
