We spend a day skiing around Westridge. Skied North to Southwest aspects from 1800-2260m. Minimal wind effect and no sign of instability noted. The supportive snowpack and soft surface snow made for good skiing. Snow tapered out quickly below 1700m so access is still tricky.
Avalanche Information
Glide slab observed on West aspect at around 1850m.
Weather
We had few clouds, No precipitation, calm wind and Temperature inversion with temps around -5 at higher elevation and around -10 in the valley.
Snowpack
Observed surface hoar growing and surface faceting with cold temperatures. 20-40cm of soft snow sit on a gradually more resistant (4F-1F) mid pack. we found 1 or 2 crusts varying in thickness and hardness with aspect and elevation. We did not find basal facets were we dug. No results on Compression tests
