Topped out on Grand daddy today the cornice was an acceptable size to move the group up through the over head.
Through the couloir the snow was pretty consolidated hand sheers were very stubborn. FP was usually around 10-15 cm so made for reasonable travel .
Light to moderate winds at ridge top with some blowing snow and sluff coming off the walls.
The fan had a supportive crust with 5-10cm on top, we skied in the leeward gullies to try stay clear of sharks.
The crust was unsupportive in tree line below 2150m which made for some interesting bush wacking.
The river was flowing so bring ya gum boots.
