The hike up grizzly shoulder was good condition today with 35-55cm of storm snow sitting on the rain crust. Good coverage all around in the trees and the track is in decent shape given the sub optimal conditions pre storm.
There was a sun crust above 1700m on the south aspect. The ski quality was still good though.
No signs of instability with skier traffic on the descent.
The alders in parts pretty savage right now and if you don’t enjoy type 2 fun alder bashing for your hunt for pow, you may want to give this area another storm… or two. The bottom is like really really thick.
