Hankin

Not a breath of wind at Hankin today and even some sunshine sparkling in the light snow that was falling. Above the Jan 26 crust we found 20cm of recent storm snow at the parking lot which grew to 60cm above the cabin in our pit location. We had no results in our extended column test and a hard result on the Jan 26 crust/facet combo in a compression test. With 60cm of low density storm snow we were unsurprised by these results however if this snow increases in density via wind, temps or increased loading we suspect this layer will become more reactive.
