With rapid warming forecasted for the afternoon, our day started and ended early. Compression test results top of west chutes produced repeated failure ~50cm down at elbow 5. Significant cornice formation and cross loading observed on N and E aspects.

50cm deep slab released upon side hill cut of far west chute. Slab travelled down nearly the entire length of the slide path. Significant wind loading was observed.
