Wolverine Ridge

Observed varying degrees of surface hoar below treeline, with the largest crystals near Temple Lodge and getting smaller as we increased in elevation. We rode the NE-facing slope at treeline on Wolverine Ridge, on a moderately steep slope (25-35 degrees) with minimal convexity. Snow depth was variable across the slope, which we assumed was due to recent wind loading. No other instabilities were observed, but we did not conduct formal tests.
