We went out and rode secondary bowl, powder 8’s, Ron’s Ridge the Brazilian, Zoros, and the Chutes
Wind affected along the top of the ridge, more snow at the valley bottoms. Great turns:)
Weather
Foggy visibility was in and out all day above the lowest fog band when we where on ridge top.
Snowpack
We dug a pit in a safe place above the exit chutes.
The snowpack was 115cm deep. We observed failures at 100cm, 80cm that were both on wind slabs. Interestingly, the Dec 6 rain crust was unreactive which is a positive indicator that the layer is healing.
Also, wumphing was heard on Ron’s Ridge.
