- <p>Signs of warming were present, but appeared to be from yesterday (20251209). Notably, not one collapse was observed, despite walking in areas containing old faceted snow.</p>
Travels in the greater Mill Hollow ecosystem showed a melting snowpack both down low and up high, with losses being reported by the Mill Hollow Wx to match. Facets (17-28cm in the attached profile) are now moist, as is the rest of the snowpack. Test results still tell the tale of hazard, however: ECTP1. Unlike previous observations, no surface hoar was observed in the profile, no collapsing or cracking was observed during travels.
Snowpack
A variety of unpleasant snow surfaces can be found, notably lots of old windboard was present in all but the most sheltered terrain. Solar aspecs featured either manky snow or a zipper crust, and polar aspects featued damp snow.
