Bear Face

Observations from Bear Face FS zone. Scattered to broken sky cover allowed for a few sunny breaks while lingering moisture produced brief rounds of flurries. Winds were light to moderate from the NW with light transport in exposed areas. Found 110cm HS on a northerly aspect at 1620m with 12cm recent HST overlying a 4F to 1F midpack to 85cm depth from the surface where basal layering comprised of 1-2mm FCso/FCxr returns to 4F-1F. At 85cm from the surface the November 21st SH was found to be well preserved up to 9mm producing sudden results at high scores with CTs and no result with ECT. The December 9th SH layer was found at 60cm from the surface but unreactive in this location. No other concerns observed today.
