Observation: Wolf Creek Pass

Good first look at the Duchesne Ridge for the season. A little less snow than I was expecting but still managed a couple turns and sliding around a bit. The winds were formidable on the ridge but elsewhere the weather was quite nice. Loads of families gathering Christmas Trees by the time I left at 11:30. I would suspect a road closure in the next series of storms can deliver another couple feet.

In the north facing shaded areas hoar frost was forming. Variable conditions on the ridge. VERY THIN snowpack where exposed.
