- <p>Some collapsing on ascent. Route was in sheltered terrain but kept in mind the strong winds earlier in the week. Also kept in mind the persistent deep instability.</p>
Column tests failed consistently below early Nov. rain/rime crust on basal facets. Pit test failures took more effort and released with less energy than last week but the persistent deep slab instability is still reactive and, with new snow and wind forecasted for this week, will be a weak layer to watch as more weight is added to the snowpack. ECT test failed below rain/rime crust AND below last weeks storm snow on preserved stellars. Failures did not propagate across the whole column. NOTE: temp profile on snow pit profile is not correct.

Light density new snow on supportable base. Fun skiing.
