Hoar on the Shore

Heads up! There is well preserved SH 5 to 10 mm on North aspects at tree line buried down 30-40 cm. It gives little feedback in the form of whumpfing, shooting cracks or ski cut results but it is definitely lurking and consistently produces easy to moderate, sudden planar, Extended Column Tests results propagating through the whole column. This is quite unusual for the North Shore and will take longer to mend than our typical storm snow problem.
