Quick Observation

Did not see/hear any cracking or whumpfing in our travels today, except for some minor settling on Cameron Lake on our way out. We dug our test pit at approximately 2000m on a SE aspect and a 37 deg slope. Approx 20 cm fresh storm snow, and snowpack depth was 220cm. Compression test results were a slight drop on CT11 @ 25cm depth, and a larger drop on CT21 @ 40 cm. Extended column tests showed very little propagation and similar results at the same depths (CT9 @ 25, and a larger drop on CT22 @ 40cm). There was a very obvious 5cm layer of facets @ 80cm depth.
