Quick Observation
Great skiing in Kutetl and Five Mile Basin. One ski cut size 1 storm slab, one small cookie between tracks, and an apocalyptic feeling whumph that dropped so much it almost left us running in mid air like Wiley Coyote.
Avalanche Information
One ski cut size 1 down 30cm. Soft storm slab - 8m wide and ran for 15m. Occurred at 1950m on a NW aspect in Five Mile Basin. Mid-slope convexity around 40º. One small cookie between tracks in Kutetl Basin also down 30. Slightly cakier snow that had been touched by wind. Occurred at 1960m on an E aspect, 35º slope. One very large whumph with a significant drop in the snowpack in 20º glades when the second skier skinned up to the regroup. SW aspect at 1900m in Kutetl Basin

Moderate snow transport at ridgetop and crossloading in exposed features.
