Quick Observation
Went up to above tree-line towards Ellie Trudo, we saw a large older cornice failure on the first steep face towards ellie trudo peak, just created large holes and no slab was triggered, we observed a sz 1 loose wet that also looked initiated by small cornice on the Mica mountain S facing chutes, we also saw a sz1 wind slab that looked like it failed within 24-48 hours down in the valley, we ski cutting along some smaller steep convex features and was only able to get thin 5-10cm pockets of windslab from the newly distributed snow. The large avalanches that I posted last week looked to have run to historical maximums as we could see debris on the opposite side of the valley in large trees! Trees were bombing all day as it was quite warm out there, winds seemed to come in periodically between longer calm spells
