Trapper Gilowski, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Today in the core lodge riding area dug a pit below tree line in a meadow along side the road in. Incline: 20 degrees Aspect: NE Elevation: 1500m Wind: Light wind from the SW Temps: Air -3.0 Compression test results CTE 4 Sudden Colapse 20cm down sitting on surface hoar of 2-3mm Snowpack is right side up as of now with lots of soft powder sitting on the October melt freeze crust layer. Upper layers are bonding well to this crust. Be sure to keep an eye on the surface hoar layer as more snow drops on top of it. Talked to some locals that were out and about in other areas of tumbler ridge and they had similar results. Have fun and play safe!
