Ymir Peak obs

Tip-toed up "sunny slope" to Ymir Peak and did not notice any signs of instability en route. No crust noted on this W slope. Couple of hand sheers near Prospector Pk indicated easy shear down ~70cm. One small whoomph was felt while skiing SW ridge of Ymir then one large settlement walking down in boulder field below the base of H8 run (around 1800m).

Visible from Ymir Peak (and access road), over to Ecstacy Peak (Evening Ridge) where avalanche occurred in the day(s) prior. Haven't been out so don't know exactly when. Prominent. Fog in valley obscured run-out.
