Hans Solo mission - Mt. Brew Data collection

Got after the South aspect at Brew before the Wind could destroy it. Planned on doing obs at TL as well, but the skiing on the south aspect was just too darn good! Great ski quality out there right now super low density powder skiing out of the wind. The South wind is quickly transporting all that nice snow into the bowls the lee aspects. Massive amounts of wind loading and cross loading throughout the day.
Snow conditions were: Deep powder. Weather conditions were: Warm. We rode: Mellow slopes, Open trees, Sunny slopes. We avoided: Alpine slopes. Riding quality was amazing.
Avalache Conditions: Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
Objective to do BTL observation on South slope after recent storm (planned TL - but skiing was too good) For snow nerd data profile submitted in images. Coles notes: CTE2 @ 10 down SC (storm snow) CTE4 @ 25 down SC (storm snow) CTM11 @ 20 down SC (storm snow) CTM14 @ 40 down BRK CTH30 @ 70 down BRK (but planar once you pulled the pieces off - see picture) SH from cold snap 260cm present SH layer @ 245 (late Jan) is showing signs of breaking down SH layers @ 194 & 181 (early Jan) are beginning to break down, but there is still evidence of their livelihood
Weather couldn’t make up its mind all day. Alpine winds strong S, with blowing snow from S. By end of day s2 and -5 @ 1445hrs
Small cornice failures triggered one larger Size 1 (sorry picture is blurry, things got windy :|) Smaller failures caused some small size 1’s, but the cornice farm was growing with moderate to strong South wind.
