Significant and multiple settlements going up Grizzly shoulder today - even experienced them while skinning as no 5 on the track, mostly in the roughly 1600-1850m band (from memory). No significant cracking observed and no slabs detached that we saw. HS varied considerably on the shoulder - from 80cm of facets to a more average 165cm HS. Old interface easily probed down 65cm consistently. Skied Rogers run but detoured to enter as the wind was moderate with quite a bit of transport on the top. No significant obs throughout the day but really felt like high considerable and a typical Banff snowpack. Don’t get lulled by the established track tomorrow … Moist snow lower near the highway and thin by typical standards for this time of year.
