Went much of the way up Eagle Mountain towards the Goat's Eye on Sunday. -8 at the car starting around 8am and mixed sun/clouds. A storm did roll in starting around noon, cloud cover and snow was pretty consistent after that.
Overall, conditions lined up pretty well with the forecast. Shortly after we went from treeline to alpine there was wide spread windslab that was pretty poorly bonded and came away easily with hand shears; this spooked us enough to turn around, given the steepness of the slope we were on. Treeline and below we noted no signs of instability, but riding quality was awful. Extremely firm crusts, ski crampons and/or bootpacking pretty much mandatory.
The creek crossings from the Sunshine parking lot aren't running super high but it takes a bit of searching to find a suitable spot.
