Bourgue lake and surrounding bowls on the up track showed very little signs of any recent snow instability or fetch transport. Recent snow with lighter winds recently has provided great coverage to the ridge with F-4F snow on-top of an old supportive crust layer.
Skied Bourgeau 9. On entry Sc Sz 1 on wind loaded convexity propagated 10m Wide adjacent and below the skier, ran 30m pulling 5cm-40cm average of 4F storm/wind slab. Avoided were possible exposed pockets of potential stubborn to reactive slab prone areas due to uncertainty with seasonally low skied terrain. Slab and new snow sits atop a variety of MFCR & Sun crusts with varying thickness and varying support to ski penetration.
