Blustery Day Down Low

Yukon

Yukon Field Team , Thursday 23rd January, 2025 1:15PM

Limited visibility and strong south winds kept us low down in the valley today. We travelled from Tiny Town up to Bryant Lake, then back to Log Cabin and along the tracks towards Bennett. Deep snow and drifting at treeline created some fun sledding conditions. Snow depth tapers significantly moving inland, and there has been less snow at Log Cabin from the storm this week. There is significant wind transport of new snow - lots of drifting along the tracks, and on the cutline up to Bryant Lake. My bet is that sledding will be all-time in Fantail this weekend.
