Northwest Coastal

Just quick observations on terrain we skied today. Wx and travel were excellent as well as the few cm’s that are making up the thin upper snowpack right now—There’s between 4 to 20cm, dry powder, to surface hoar, to wind-pressed snow depending on where you ski. Permagrin got hit hard by the last large avy cycle we had. Some features that are usually incredible to ride at this time of the year had only the cm’s mentioned above on bare ground… most of the snowpack taken down by the avalanche cycle. The Flutes are not looking great at all, on the other hand Superbowl looked good. Creek crossings (back from Geronimo) are ok, frozen in places but snow bridges are gone. There’s good snow but decreasing snowpack and great skiing as well as really challenging skiing ou there.
