Skiied the dog's leg couloir off Glacier Crest. Travelled between 1230m and 2060m. Skin track was in good shape all the way to the top of the couloir. Observed a few recent size 1-1.5 point releases on the south side of the Vaux Glacier below Sir Donald. Sun crust was felt 5-10 cms deep until roughly 1800m where it seemed to disappear. Felt the rain crust until 1900ms. It felt supportive to pole-probing. observed slight wind effect in the Alpine on the West aspects but not enough to create windslab. Temperature was -7 at 2060m at 1200pm with light winds on the ridge top. Couloir was skied out but had good skiing in the middle and lower sections. Below the couloir skiing became variable with old avy debris and boulders that had low coverage.
