Sunny & Surface Hoar

<p>Beauty day at Kootenay Pass. Alpine winds were West at 30-40 km/h but no ridge top transport. Evidence of recent lee side loading on east aspects. Healthy surface hoar overnight 3-4cm in size that was not there yesterday. It was surprisingly resistant to winds, present on all aspects and all elevations except ridge top. </p>

Alpine slopes, Dense trees, Mellow slopes, Open trees, Steep slopes, Sunny slopes.

Terrain Avoided

Convex slopes.
