Latter end of the storm. Wide spread natural avalanche cycle continues to shed snow. Regular avalanches heard throughout the day. Natural crowns seen on all aspects at tree line and above, up to size 3 observed. Certain crowns show signs of stepping down. HS 360cm at 1280m alt, 2°C and a light breeze from the south west. Upper 30 cm of snow is saturated, below that the snow is fairly uniform down 115cm to the 10 cm thick Jan 5th crust.
Skiing "water skiing" was surprisingly good/fast. "Eh! Lean back, point 'em straight!"
The cornices looked spooky.
