Quick report

The main event today was the strong SW winds transporting snow and building windslabs in the higher alpine terrain.

The winds in the morning seemed to be mostly up high but as the day progressed the wind got down low in the drainages producing wind crust and wind slabs in expossed terrain. May want to keep an eye out for fresh wind load and wind slabs in the higher terrain tomorrow on N,NE and E, the W end of the compass was getting wind scoured. Pic wind down low in the drainage.

Snowpack

Snow was nicely settled powder on the sun and wind protected slopes, Some of the S facing slopes got damp by the afternoon, wind was aslo damaging the snow in much of the higher alpine terrain.
