Quick report
Saturday had variable cloud cover before becoming cloudy midafternoon with very strong wind during the day, It was cloudy and slightly cooler overnight with extremely strong wind gusting to 50 mph but only light to no snowfall until midnight when it became light to moderate but windblown. Wind let up about 3 hours before sunrise as light snow continued with only light wind by sunrise. There was 4½" new snow with 0.46" of water with substantial drifting. Saturday high was 41F and low today 12F. Currently 13F with light SW wind and light snowfall.
A major event was substantial dirt blowing in before midnight that made a well pronounced dirt layer in the snowpack and will speed up spring meltdown of the snow. billy
