Beautiful bluebird calm day.
Snowpack
Firm surface conditions with softer non-reactive wind slabs in the protected areas and hard boilerplate in the windier places. Lots of variety within the snow due to the wind. Within the couloir we found multiple small, disconnected wind slabs that were deemed managable. On the bowl, we stopped below the ridge and dug a pit after we withnessed cracking and non-propogating failures 10cm into the snow on two of our switchbacks.
