Quick report
- Collapsing
- specific
Took the standard up-track to just past the last trees, about 2500'. Collapse felt on a steep test slope after a kickturn just off of the skin track around 2200'. Watched a skier put in a few kickturns up the headwall and then traverse with a buddy all the way left, undercutting the whole headwall. Motive unclear, maybe the northeast aspect was enticing. As they neared the (looker's) left ridge, the whole headwall and a smaller hill just in front of it slid. Nobody was carried or buried. On decent, more collapsing on unsupported/undercut steepest areas skiers left of uptrack. Saw no cracking or slides other than the headwall event.
