Storm totals since last Friday were in the 15 to 20cm range. That low-density snow has already previously blown around, so it's hard to get a real accurate measurement once you are up in the terrain. In this area, wind slabs were failing on a density change within the storm snow. The avalanches were small and thin. The old snow interface was primarily firm wind-board, often with small facets on top. The weather kept us from getting into any properly wind-loaded terrain in the alpine. During the periods of visibility, the best transport appeared to have occurred during the morning hours and had died off mid-day. In the alpine, there were small amounts of snow still available for transport as it had already been blown around.
