Quick report
Fantastic weekend in the sun in the Dan Moller bowl. All aspects held nearly perfect snow, almost no tracks when we arrived Friday night in the moonlight, and we were the only ones there!? Dug at 2100' on a North aspect in a moderately wind protected nook at the bottom of Main Chute/Soup Bowl early Saturday morning. Ski penetration 15cm, boot 40cm. 180 cm to the ground. Fist hardness down to a finger layer at 25 cm that went on CT 12. Another pencil layer of 1mm facets at 55c ECTN 25. Similar pencil layer at 70cm. Shovel shear on both these lower layers came off moderately clean, with 1mm facets on both layers. Few rolly balls and isolated sun crusts, but no signs of instability in two days of brilliant skiing.
