Quick report

Rode two laps on Tin Can. One down the south side in the Snake Pit area, one down the ridge. It seemed like there were a few more small slabs that had failed on convexities on the south facing terrain, but all similar to the weekend, smaller crowns and didn’t travel too far. Snow on the south side was baking in the sun in the afternoon and was starting to get heavy. Snow in shaded areas was still cold. Walking around, most of the pole probing we did had an observable weak layer a foot or two down that would have some resistance before breaking through to the facet layer. We managed to navigate a day that had sun, good snow, and limited exposure to avalanche terrain. Good times were had by all.
