HS 70cm ECTP 4 on the top layer about 15cm deep surface hoar and cracking off of the ski tip. ECTN 20 at the basal facets at about 50cm. This was fairly stubborn only fracturing when the column was pushed downhill. On this northerly slope it feels like the entire snowpack is faceting of faceted to some degree. The snow was supportive, and we didn't really access the basal facets while skiing, but boot penetration went straight to the ground. That 15cm reactive layer (Dec 7th interface) is something to watch at or below treeline as we go into the next storm cycle this weekend.
