Quick report

Surface snow was wet/saturated to our high point of 6800ft. Above freezing temps to our high point/temps hovering around freezing at 6800ft. Mixed bag of weather including periods of rain, snow, partly cloudy skies, to completely cloudy skies. Light winds on ridge tops coming out of the south. Stuck to north aspects for the duration of the day. Did not observe any surface hoar that seemed to survive the warmup. We had decent visibility into some higher elevation terrain in the Flathead Range and did not see any recent slab avalanches higher up.

Avalanche

Lots of roller balls on steep terrain. Some small wet loose slides below cliff bands.
