Celebrated the new year with some sun and by touring up to 7000ft and skiing NE trees. S facing aspects had a thin sun crust from yesterday’s sun, however N facing aspects still had cold, dry snow. Saw small rollerballs as evidence of yesterday’s warming but did not see any fresh signs of instability today. Felt light winds (3-5mph) at ridge top and had thin, scattered cloud cover throughout most of the day.
