- We found a shallow, unsupportable, and punchy snowpack from the trailhead to 5200' -Above 5200' the snowpack was supportable but still thin and was made up primarily of the last two storms, with the exception of erratic pockets of old drifted snow.snowpack. - A hasty pit at 7000' on a SW aspect only had snow from the last two storms and did not contain the Thanksgiving crust. - We experienced light snow all day and the temperature at the trailhead hovered around freezing.
