Quick report
- Red Flags Comment
-
Few red flags today. Lots of sluffing during the storm. No real crowns seen. All of NW side of Wilson had sluffed but no avalanches. Same for depth hoar bowl and the east chute off of G.K. Only slide seen was on toots to boot starting about 1/2 down run and running about 1/4 slope. Some wind dammage on the upper ridge like 10' from the top or so.

Exit out pole cyn not for the faint at hart.
Many downed trees on main P.F. road and the cabin owner driving on the road is not really helping things out there as well.
Snowpack
- Instability Comment
-
See above.

Only real problem today was the thin snow pack. Still only about 48" in upper MCC.

Rapid heating will not help stability.

New snow had dried out with the clear cool night.
Rime crust thin and spread about. The temp. inversion from bottom of the run to the ridge was noticeable.
Skied like powder!
