Snowpack
-Surface snow varied based on aspect. Soft snow on northerly aspects to PP and suncrust on southerly aspects. Small pockets of wind slabs on NW to E aspects on specific terrain features. Unreactive to the weight of rider. -I'd call it "almost" a slab developing above weak layer in upper 40cm of recent snow -Easily identifiable weak, faceted layer with small surface hoar approximately 40-50 cm below surface depending on aspect. See snowpilot. -Rounding crystals and various storm/faceted layers below, especially on southerly aspects.
