Quick report

Beauty of a day for a walk'n'wiggle only made better by surprise friends with cookies! No obvious signs of instability observed while on tour today and travelled around the compass between 4500 'and 6600'. Weather consisted of broken/scattered skies, consistent comfortable temps in the low 20s F, calm winds and brief moments of light snowfall accumulating a trace dusting atop the quality 8-12" of consolidated recent storm snow. Dug a quick pit at 6450' on a N 36* slope - HS 255cm - ECTN19@225 & CTM19@225PC on subtle hardness change (4F- to F+)... The snowpack seemed generally quite consolidated and consistent in the upper meter with a pronounced buried crust @155cm that had small rounding facets above and more developed facets below that only fractured with a liberal shovel pry. No obvious signs of instability observed while on tour today.
