Quick report
We found dry loose (sloughing) to be our main hazard today on some North facing trees near Red Meadow Lake. Snow fell consistently (S-1) throughout the day with temps remaining in the upper 20’s (F) with light winds. Storm snow measured to be about a foot and remained unconsolidated (and downright dreamy) considering it was about 20-30 degrees warmer today than at the start of the storm. We observed no cracking or whoomphing unlike those in a nearby zone who found concerning snow behavior on a S facing aspect. Whoomph, over there it is, I guess.
