Quick report
•We skied all aspects at various elevations. •The recent rime/freezing rain crust was present on all aspects and elevations above Camp Misery, although it varied in thickness randomly throughout our tour. •There was 6 to 8 inches of new unconsolidated snow on top of the crust layer that made for interesting turns but still enjoyable skiing. •We observed no signs of instability in the snow pack and chose to ski slopes over 35*. •The sun poked out for a few moments, otherwise a persistent cloud layer kept the snow surface fairly cool and soft throughout the day.
Avalanche
Observed multiple point release slides along south facing slopes above Camp Misery early in the morning, assuming from the previous day. These only entrained the surface snow and appeared to be manageable if needed.
