I traveled in the Flathead Range off the clock, looking for quality snow in the northern aspects.
- Avalanches from the weekend snow and wind appeared to be few in this drainage. The wind had redistributed the snow at all elevations, camouflaging possible crowns and debris.
- We observed large D2,2.5,3 and 3.5 debris piles associated with the February 23 Atmospheric River. Despite the March snowfall and wind, they remain quite evident.
- The loose wet problem did not appear to develop in this drainage today. A general lack of sustained solar radiation and consistent breezy conditions kept the surface cool.
- The snow quality on northerly aspects sheltered from the wind remains excellent.
Cracking was limited to leeward slopes with fresh wind drifts. Cracks were limited to the length of my skies.

The intermittent sun was brief until the late afternoon when the skies became clear. S-SW winds mixed down to the valley floor and transported snow in the valleys and mid-slope features. We listened to the wind blow in the trees at mid and upper elevations most of the day.
