Quick report

-Observed about 2 feet of very low density new snow above 5600ft. About 5-8in at lower elevations - Did not experience signs of instability on our route other than dry loose activity - The bottom half of Marion trail had just enough snow for the skin up but we opted to boot down - Consistent snow flurries throughout the day, with short breaks of clouds lifting - Temperatures stayed below freezing and wind remained calm - Watched 8 different gaggles of geese head south

Avalanche

Observed recent small D1 dry loose avalanches in steep terrain on S and SE slopes.
