Quick report
Access to Mill Hollow is made difficult by a debris pile about a half mile up from SR35 from a path that hit the road mid season. Sporty off-roading can navigate the pile, with several miles of dirt beyond. Continuous snow covered road can be found above 9200’. Up higher, the corn harvest continues to be fruitful. East-Northeast facing terrain came on around 1100, and west came on around 1300. The window for good corn is quite long at this point, as the snowpack has had a few weeks to cycle without too much new snow.
Snowpack
New snow from the late week storm can be found in drifted areas lee to ridges and tree islands. The deepest drift was only a few inches deep, but enough to stick a pole basket into (pictured). Pockets of NSF were observed on north facing terrain near a cold holler around 9300’ (see NSF smiley photo). This surface melted today, but is something to watch if things cool down ahead of the next storm.
