Hellen Shoulder

Good ski quality on Hellen Shoulder on E/SE aspects. 120 cm snow depth around TL but highly variable below. There is an impressive new slide path on the summer trail approach which wasn’t here last year (see photo). SW to W aspects had a mix of sun crust and wind slab so we avoided these. NE-E aspects skied better (20 cm ski pen) but got more faceted and bottomless in denser trees. Lots of wumphing and shooting cracks out to 10m on very mellow E facing 15 deg terrain - one connected a bunch of bunny tracks (photo) which seemed funny and spooky at the same time. Lots of sharks out there and we need another 30cm to improve ski quality.
