0830-1100, toured Todd ridge to Soda Creek. Temps just below freezing, partly sunny with gradually clearing skies. No wind or precip. East facing aspects, flats, ridges got a sun crust yesteday before overnight precip. Not supportable. North facing shaded/treed soda creek had ~40cm storm snow, more in sheltered spots. A NE wind at some point yesterday made for no real cornices or wind loading on usual aspects. East aspect rolls along Todd ridge were loaded some and were more energetic than usual, cracking and producing small slabs. Temps warming around 1030 with clearing skies. Suspect that even sheltered N trees under 7k' will have sun effect tomorow. Steep rolls on the north aspects had the tiny natural crowns that were observed in Tam Rim yesterday. The little weak layer looked like a density inversion. It was only present in sheltered areas and not near ridges where snow was deeper. I couldn't find any grauppel even though it hammered the house yesterday.
